don't like is "Boyfriend". My brother likes to tease me about it. So my family is at a Mexican restaurant eating lunch, and for some reason that comes up. My brother begins to sing the lyrics--"lookin' for a boyfriend..." I join in jokingly on "I see that!" (my brother never sings the "you're" in front of that first line, and this is probably what caused the following conversation).
My mom says, "they're looking for a boyfriend?"
This is exactly what my dad had said a couple weeks ago (we were also in a Mexican restaurant at the time, but my mom wasn't there) in response to me and my brother singing the first few lines.
"No, no!" I say, laughing. "It says 'you're lookin' for a boyfriend'."
"Oh." *topic switches to something completely unrelated to BTR*
The best part is that, when my dad had that reaction earlier, he continued the conversation as follows:
"Oh, I thought they were looking for a boyfriend." *pause* "That one with the helmet wouldn't surprise me." (obviously, he meant Carlos)
That comment seriously made my entire day. It took all my self-control not to reply with some Jarlos-related comment.
On a rather random side note, I was watching this Disney XD show called 'Zeke and Luther' with the kid I was babysitting tonight. It was so funny, and of course there's a little Zeke/Luther going on in my head right now.
